Private Education Loans
Students are encouraged to see if they are eligible for Federal Aid before applying for a Private Loan, but completing a FAFSA application is not required to receive a Private Loan.
Getting a Private Loan
- Some lenders may require students to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Be sure to review the lender's requirements before applying. At the time of certification by the institution, failure to meet lender requirements will cause the request to be rejected.
- Private loans are offered for degree, non-degree seeking, and continuing education students. Check with your lender to select the correct school branch code.
