Non-Music Majors Class Selections
Non-music majors are welcome to take music courses. There may be a co-requisite and/or pre-requisite requirement depending on the course(s) chosen. The following are the available music courses and co-requisite courses (if required).
- Music Courses: All Music Theory courses require Ear Training/Sight Singing as a co-requisite. Students must be proficient in music reading to enter Music Theory I. Fundamentals of Music is offered to prepare students to enter Music Theory I.
- Applied Music Lessons: Require a co-requisite course.

Students interested in taking music ensemble courses are not required to take a music co-requisite course. However, an audition may be required. For more information about the ensemble audition process visit our Ensemble Audition Page.
Students interested in taking an applied music lesson or a restricted music course must register with the Music Department.
