Student onboarding is working with a Student Success Coach to become familiar with the institution and receive assistance with the admission requirements and enrollment processes. New and returning students are assigned a Student Success Coach to ensure a smooth onboarding process. To connect with your Student Success Coach and review your pending onboarding items, you must access the Applicant Dashboard using your personal email address and password you created when you applied.

Attend New Student Orientation (NSO)
As a new student at Broward College, you will need to attend New Student Orientation as part of the onboarding process. Contact your Success Coach to schedule your orientation.
Submit Florida Residency
Florida residents pay a discounted rate for tuition. Guidelines to prove you are a Florida resident. For your convenience, you can submit your residency documents electronically via the Florida Resident Form. All received documents should be scanned as PDFs and images such as driver's license and I.D's should be in color (front and back). All received documents will be processed within two to four business days, but during peak times (May-August) allow up to one week for processing.

Have you filled out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? You must complete the FAFSA if you are planning on using financial aid to pay for your classes.
Apply for Scholarships
A scholarship is a financial aid award that, like grants, does not have to be repaid. Broward College offers scholarships based on merit, financial need, degree choice, and more. Scholarship funding is limited, and completion of the application does not guarantee an award.
Submit all Transcripts
You must submit official transcripts for high school, and all colleges and universities attended.
The transcript(s) should show that there is no coursework in progress.

Meet with your school counselor to confirm program eligibility
It is important to speak with your school counselor to confirm you meet the eligibility requirements for the dual enrollment program before completing the enrollment process.
Determine Placement
Students are required to meet minimum college-level test scores or College Readiness using Alternative Methods of Placement in all areas – English/Writing, Reading, and Math.
Complete your Dual Enrollment Recommendation Form
Complete your Dual Enrollment Recommendation Form each semester you plan to enroll. You can find the form for New, Continuing, and Home School students on our Dual Enrollment website.

To get assistance, please visit the International Students Services Office (ISSO) site.
All degree-seeking students are assigned a student success coach. Your assigned student success coach's contact information will be displayed in your Acceptance Student Portal. Please use the student success coach's contact information to schedule an appointment.
You can make an appointment 24 hours after applying to Broward College. Your assigned student success coach's contact information will be displayed in your Acceptance Student Portal.
Broward College provides all degree-seeking students with a success coach and an academic advisor. Your Student Success Coach is responsible for establishing a welcoming onboarding experience to Broward College by providing comprehensive answers resulting in successful registration in your first term. Your success coach is available to assist you until you are fully registered and paid for your first term. Your assigned student success coach's contact information will be displayed in your Acceptance Student Portal.
Students can schedule appointments with their assigned student success coach in BC Navigate. Get instructions.
You may email your success coach if their calendar is not showing availability for appointments. If you need immediate assistance and your success coach is unavailable, please consider joining the Admissions/Registration QLESS queue.
Official transcripts are typically evaluated within the first term of enrollment provided all completed transcripts are on file. Transfer students must meet with their student success coach and provide unofficial transcripts before selecting courses. We highly recommend making an appointment with your assigned student success coach to review transcripts.
Score Transcripts are for college-credit-bearing standardized exams which are formally evaluated as an external postsecondary institution transcript by the Registrar's Office.
