Remote Virtual Common Placement Testing Option
Students can take this exam on a remote virtual basis in their own home!
The Higher Level Math Test (HLM) is designed for STEM Pathway students wishing to take higher level math courses but who feel they can by-pass lower level courses. Broward College uses ACCUPLACER subtests to place students into higher level math courses above the College Algebra level. Students wishing to take any of the courses listed below must first take the Higher Level Math (HLM) Test.
Students wishing to place into any other higher level math course must see Associate Dean of Mathematics at North, Central, or South. Contact information can be found using the Faculty & Staff Directory and searching for Mathematics and Administrator.
Must score at or above the minimum score indicated on the following tests or pass the following course:

*Trigonometry Bypass Exam is only used available during the HLM for students scoring 280 or higher wishing to place into MAC2311.
ACCUPLACER (CLM) is untimed but usually takes an average of 1 hour to complete.

Yes. Students can retest according to the following policy:
A retest fee applies for all retest attempts regardless of the age of previous scores.
Trigonometry Bypass Exam can only be retaken once.
Testing times differ from Center Opening and Closing Times.
Student Testing Times as shown below: Students must be seated in the Testing Center no earlier/later than the time reflected below if they are taking all 3 sections of the Higher Level Math (HLM) test!

Students may retake the Higher Level Math (HLM) test an unlimited number of times. However, they must adhere to the following retesting timeline:

Remediation prior to each test attempt is strongly encouraged.
Fees
Higher Level Math (HLM) attempts from another institution do not count towards attempts at Broward College.
Retesting is required after scores expire.

Per state rule 6A-10.0315, PERT test scores are valid for two (2) years.

Per state rule 6A-10.0315, PERT test scores are valid for two (2) years.
Students with documented testing accommodations must present them to the Office of Accessibility Resources prior to the desired test date. The Testing Center will work with the Office of Accessibility Resources to provide approved testing accommodations.
Students needing to take a common placement test, who live outside of the South Florida area, have the option to request remote placement testing accommodations.
