Fall 2022, Commencement Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at The Hard Rock Live in Hollywood. The Ceremony will promptly start at 4:00 p.m., with the main doors opening at 2:00 p.m.

Day of the Ceremony - What to Expect

Graduates will arrive between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. You will check in by the last name at the table that displays the first letter of your last name. If you arrive at a table and you do not have a card, one will be issued to you on the spot.

Graduates may not bring large bags or purses to the commencement floor. Children are also not permitted to sit with graduates on the commencement floor.

Seating is first come first served. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m., but it is highly recommended you are fully seated by 3:00 p.m.

Bachelor's students will cross the stage first and will be greeted by President Haile. Graduates will stand near the president or another member of our senior leadership team and a member of the photo team will capture your moment. Once the bachelor's students conclude, we will invite AA/AS students to the stage.

Expect the ceremony to be at least two and half hours long. At the end of the ceremony, we will shoot confetti and end the ceremony with lights and music. This makes for a great photo to capture and share as needed!

Guests who cannot attend in person are welcome to come back to this site to watch the live stream.

Eligible graduating students will receive an email on Monday, November 7, with details about the ceremony at 2 p.m. If you do not receive an email to your Broward College email address, please check with your Academic Advisor on your eligibility status. If you were left off by mistake we have a process to add you to the list.
