Graduation and Commencement are two separate functions and have separate processes and deadlines. You do not need to apply to graduate to receive your degree and diploma; however, we highly suggest doing a Grad Check with Academic Advising. You do not have to physically attend the commencement ceremony to receive your degree.

If you are graduating and want to attend the commencement ceremony and receive guest tickets, please be mindful that the deadline to be fully qualified to walk in the commencement ceremony is Monday, April 20, 2026.

  • Eligible Graduates will receive an email with commencement day details in their Broward College email account by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
  • Graduates must be fully qualified to graduate and pick up their tickets by Monday, April 20, 2026, if they intend to participate in the ceremony.
  • The deadline to ensure your eligibility for Fall degree conferral is Sunday, May 3, 2026.
