Pre-Matriculation

Students currently in the health science pathway but not yet admitted to a Limited Access program and students who have applied to a limited access program (waiting on acceptance).

Eligibility

• Broward College students interested in a Health Science Limited Access Program.
• Students who have applied to a limited access program and are waiting to go get accepted
• Students with a 2.5 GPA or greater
• Must be a citizen, non-citizen national of the United States, an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the United States

Benefits

• Students will get paid $15 an hour for a 6 week virtual course.
• Two weekly Zoom meetings with the instructor.
• On Campus Clinical observation and exposure to health science careers.
• Formal and informal opportunities for counseling, mentoring, and group support.
• Assistance and guidance towards a limited access program
• Academic support services, academic enrichment, and skill development.
• Monthly meetings/workshops focused on financial aid planning, health disparities, and stress management.

Application timeline: We are accepting applications for the 2026 Summer Pre-Matriculation Program. Applications for the 2027 Summer Pre-Matriculation Program will open in Spring term 2027 and continue until April. Late Applications will be considered if spots are available. HCOP PRE-MATRICULATION PROGRAM APPLICATION

Ambassadors

Students currently admitted to an Allied Health Science Limited Access Program.

Eligibility

• Broward College students are currently enrolled in a Health Science Limited Access Program.
• Students with a 2.5 GPA or greater
• Must be a citizen, non-citizen national of the United States, an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the United States

Benefits

• 16 hours of individualized or group mentoring.
• Students will get paid $15 an hour to showcase their work each term (up to $90 max).
• Reimbursement of Complio fees (with proof of payment (if applicable).
• $1,400 Tuition Scholarship awarded at the end of each term (in addition to financial aid).
• Academic support services, academic enrichment, and skill development.
• Weekly meetings/workshops.
