Welcome to the Writing Center at the Academic Success Center South Campus. Students currently enrolled at Broward College can find academic writing support by visiting our center and working with a certified tutor in a comfortable and quiet environment or utilizing one of our many available resources.
Here in our center, our focus is to help students develop and strengthen their writing skills to become effective life-long writers. We’re happy to help at any stage of your writing process, from brainstorming to revision. Tutors can offer advice on thesis development, use of evidence, organization, flow, sentence structure, grammar, and more. Stop by and see us, we will be more than happy to help.

Paper consultations for all composition courses and in most courses that require any writing.
Assistance with My Writing Lab:
The online lab component that supports the developmental writing courses. Its design has a diagnostic/prescriptive initial assessment that identifies skills that have been mastered or need practice. The end assessment is called the Mastery Check. It measures growth and assesses the mastery of all of the skills contained in the online lab component.
TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education) Prep:
It is the assessment piece that is used by the nursing and aviation departments to measure the reading levels of their students. It has three key areas: reading, writing/language, and math.
