TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federal grant program that promotes academic and personal success for first-generation, under-resourced Broward College students. SSS provides tutoring, advising, grant aid, and a variety of other services to increase postsecondary retention and completion.

The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program is available to all students (including online) who meet one or more of the following criteria:
Are you...
A first-generation college student (Parent does not possess a bachelor’s degree)
OR
I am a low-income student receiving Broward College financial aid.
Student Support Services (SSS) Students with Disabilities or SSS-SWD is a learning community that offers Student members with documented disability-free comprehensive tailored academic social, and cultural support and services to enhance their performance and promote academic success. Our goal is to retain and graduate students who have a disability, who may have a disability, and who are low-income. SSS-SWD is a grant-funded program through the U.S. Department of Education.
Broward College Student Support Services, English Language Learners will provide services to alleviate the educational barriers and obstacles facing SSS-eligible participants and guide them toward success in their academic programs and careers. Eligible students for the program must currently or formerly be a part of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, first-generation, low-income, and/or students with a disability. Each student must also demonstrate a need for academic support.

We offer
Individualized advising sessions, individual or group tutoring for Health Sciences courses, career exploration, mentorship programs, enrichment workshops, and cultural activities.
Financial support.
You may qualify if any of the following apply:
First-Generation Students (neither parent/guardian has a bachelor's degree)
Pell Grant eligible
Enrolled or admitted in any of the Health Sciences programs
US Citizen/ Resident.
