Summer Awards

If you are a continuing student and you received a Pell Grant for both the Fall and Spring terms, your Summer Pell Grant award will be available as an award on April 7, so please check your myBC. Students who were enrolled for both Fall and Spring must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the Summer to receive your Pell Grant award. If you plan to enroll in less than six credits and you need your Pell Grant awarded, you may still be eligible for a limited amount. Check your myBC after April 7 to review your award.

Outside Scholarship Checks

If you receive a scholarship that is not awarded by Broward College, please mail your scholarship check to the Cashier's Office on the North, South, or Central campus. This applies to ALL checks, including those you may receive as a result of a scholarship award posted to your account. Do not send any checks to the Financial Aid Office, as the Financial Aid Office does not process checks. Doing so will cause a delay in posting your scholarship award. You must be currently enrolled at Broward College or the Cashier's Office will not accept the check. Please refer to the 'How to Pay' tab on the Cashier's website for more information on this process.

Bright Futures 2020-2021 Award Year Update

Are you a Bright Future Recipient? If yes, your fall courses will be covered by your scholarship. You must be in-state, degree-seeking, and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in order to be funded. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at

If you are a new student at Broward College, please make sure to update your Florida Financial Aid Application with Broward College's school code (062). This will allow the College to award your Bright Futures scholarship.
