Summer Awarding

Students are encouraged to finalize their summer schedule by 06/10/2020; any changes in your schedule after that date will not be included in your Federal financial aid award. This does not apply to new students who enroll for Summer Term Session 3.

New students who have never been awarded a Pell grant for the 2019-2020 award year will receive their eligible award amount. If you are a continuing student and have been awarded a Pell grant for both the Fall and Spring terms, your summer Pell grant award will be available starting 04/09/2020. Students who were enrolled for both the Fall and Spring terms must be enrolled for at least 6 credits for the Summer term to receive a Pell grant award. Please check your myBC to view your award amount.

If you plan to enroll in less than 6 credits and are eligible for the Pell grant, you may still have eligibility for a limited amount. The enrollment of six credits can be a combination of any of your Summer classes. Please check your myBC after 04/09/2020 to view your award amount, and reach out to the financial aid team for assistance.

Any student who applies and is approved for an Alternative/Private Loan for Summer 2020 must have their loan certification request sent to the school by April 24. Summer loan processing will end on April 24 for all sessions 1 and 2 courses. The scheduled disbursement date for Summer Alternative/Private Loans will be May 8, 2020.

Students who are enrolled in Session 3 courses will have their private loans processed by May 29, 2020 with a disbursement date of June 12, 2020.

Outside Scholarship Checks

Do not send any checks to the Financial Aid Office, as the Financial Aid Office does not process checks. Doing so will cause a delay in posting your scholarship award.
